WHY CHOOSE US?

Founded on a Vision to make a Difference

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Our story started with the vision and expertise of our founder, Margeret Lawal (we affectionately call her Meg). Her many years as a nurse and experience working in care homes led her to the conviction that people can be better supported in the comfort of their own homes. And in 2011, her vision took form in Mega Nursing & Care, a company steadfastly dedicated to providing excellent person-centred home-based care that makes a real difference in people’s lives.

One of our real strengths is that we’re truly nurse-led. Both management and policy-development are driven by the experience and expertise of highly-trained nurses with a deep understanding of healthcare and people. That means that our organisation remains committed to that founding vision of excellence tailored to the individual.

Our Promise

Our aim is to provide the highest possible level of care that is adapted to your unique circumstances. We work with you to meet your needs, desires and aims, promoting dignity and independence while do. This commitment affects everything we do, from the way our process is structured, to the way that we consider the needs of the whole family. Whatever your situation, we make every effort to provide genuine, compassionate care that will leave a life-altering and indelible mark on your life.

Perhaps our promise is expressed best in our core values:

Family Centered

We are a family-run company, so we understand its importance. That's why we involve our clients' families and think of them in all care decisions. We also care for our clients as if they were our own family because we know that they are someone else's family.

Compassion

We believe everyone should be treated with compassion and that compassion is at the heart of quality care. That's why our aim is that every interaction we have be characterised by warmth and empathy.

Excellence

We aim for true excellence that changes people's lives, and that can only come from consistently doing things properly. We do our best in all that we do, from the way we greet each other to the way we go about making company-wide decisions.

Person-Centred

Being person-centred means valuing everyone and treating them with dignity and empathy. That's why we take everyone seriously and really listen to our clients, their family and our care teams. It also extends to the way we treat our own, so we are committed to investing in the lives of them so we can help them grow and be the best people they can be.

Integrity

We are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards and strive to do the right thing in every situation.

Dignity

Every person is incredibly valuable and should be honoured, so we treat everyone with respect and take them seriously, whether they're one of our clients or one of our own colleagues.

Listening

To listen to someone is to take them seriously. It's also a cornerstone of what it takes to provide good care and grow. Because we truly care about and value people and because we want to provide the best possible care, we are committed to listening carefully — to our clients, their families and our care teams.

Legacy

We were founded in 2011 with the vision of providing care that makes a real difference in people's lives. We are committed to being stewards of that legacy and vision, and we aim to build on what we've done so that we pass on something better to those who come after us.

Care You Can Trust

Our commitment to providing care is backed up by our accreditation and the awards we've won.

We are fully registered with the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of health and social care in England, and we are registered for the Treatment of Disease, Disorder or Injury (TDDI) with the CQC. In short, this means that we meet the national standards for care providers and that we have full accreditation to provide medical treatment and clinical care in home settings. It's one of the most comprehensive sets of care registrations out there and is a testament to our commitment to providing the quality care to which we aim.

We're also exceptionally happy with holding the Quality Hallmark Accreditation from the Gold Standards Framework. The GSF is an evidence-backed framework that has an extremely rigorous set of standards for palliative and end-of-life care. This accreditation is further testament to our expertise in and commitment to providing the high-quality, person-centred care we aim for.

In addition to that, Mega Nursing & Care is approved by and works with the NHS and the local councils in Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire among other local authorities.

When you choose us, you are choosing to work with a family whose commitment to excellence in care is recognised and endorsed by our national regulatory boards and leading authorities in healthcare.

And we don't plan on stopping there. Our aim is always to improve and provide better care and service to you, the people we exist to support.

Testimonials: Real Stories, Real Impact

“Mega Nursing & Care transformed my dad's life. His carer, Jane, introduced music therapy, which calmed his agitation and brought back smiles we hadn't seen in months. The team kept us updated every step of the way.”

— Emma, Northampton

We Choose Only the Best People

We know that the people who provide your care are incredibly important. Because of this, it is our priority to bring on staff that meets our standards and wholly stands by and commits to our vision completely. That means that we also invest significantly in recruitment, training and ongoing professional development so that our team can keep getting better and maintain national standards.

All the carers we hire are already highly trained, with most of them holding qualifications in Health and Social Care up to NQV Level 7. We then provide them with more specialist training so that when you or a loved one is being cared for, you can rest assured that they know what they are doing within your unique needs.

We take your safety – and the safety of your family – extremely seriously. Because of this, we check all applicants and staff by carrying out careful reference checks, querying employment gaps and utilising enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service checks - the highest level of background check available.

We provide care across England, with regional offices in
