A Step-by-Step Guide to Starting a Care Career

Starting a career as a Care Assistant or Support Worker is more than just taking a job, it’s joining a profession that makes a daily difference to people’s lives. At Mega Resources Nursing and Care, we look for individuals who combine compassion with reliability, motivation, and a genuine interest in helping others live with dignity and independence.

What Does a Care Assistant Do?

What Does a Care Assistant Do

As a Care Assistant, you’ll support people in their own homes to live safely, comfortably, and on their own terms. This could involve helping with personal care, household tasks, companionship, mobility support, or medication prompts - every day and every client are different.

But more than the tasks, what defines a great carer is relationship building - listening to what matters most to each person and making sure care is shaped around them.
