Urgent Support Link is a cutting-edge, on-demand care service that delivers professional, temporary relief to both care recipients and primary caregivers by providing expert care for their loved ones or directly to care recipients—offering peace of mind when it's needed most.
After registering for free, our clinical team will promptly reach out to arrange an assessment. This helps us understand your needs and ensures we’re fully prepared to provide the highest level of support whenever you require assistance.
Once your assessment is complete, you can book a carer for same-day assistance—whether you're unwell, have an appointment, or need a break. This ensures continuity of care, providing reliable, tailored support while giving you peace of mind.
Finding the right information can be overwhelming, so we’ve compiled key national and local resources in one place. Upon registering, you’ll gain access to our app and private web portal, where you can quickly find reliable support on condition-specific care, finances, and health and wellbeing services.
Without the right knowledge to provide tailored care, the well-being of those you care for may be at risk. That’s why we offer registered individuals with FREE access to professional training, both online and in-person. Our in-person training sessions are conducted face-to- face with our clinical team at our dedicated training centres.
We know that everyone learns differently, and training alone isn’t always enough. After your first use of our service, you’ll receive tailored feedback from our clinical team. We’ll assess your care delivery and provide personalised tips, advice, and guidance to boost your confidence and improve your skills.
In addition to providing fast telephone access to our Urgent Support Link team, our app offers a convenient chat feature, enabling you to connect with our team during office hours. This ensures that you can reach out for assistance in a way that suits you best, whether it’s a quick phone call or a real-time chat. Our goal is to make support easily accessible, so you never feel alone when facing urgent situations.
We offer on-site technical guidance tailored to individual needs for £20 per session, provided there’s sufficient demand. Sessions are available online via webinar or in person at our training centres, with limited spaces allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Topics include Gastronomy Care, Tracheostomy, Learning Disabilities, Simple Wound Care, and Stoma Care.
App users can specify their general activity preferences directly through the app. After every booking, the USL team will reach out via phone to confirm the exact details of the selected activity, ensuring accurate and seamless scheduling.
Carer Voucher is strictly a "sitting service" and cannot be used for personal care tasks like toileting or medication prompts. It also cannot be used to take the cared-for person outside their home.
