I have been at Mega Resources for nearly 3 years I started as a admin apprentice at 16. As a 16 year old straight from school I was very nervous to start work as the only real work experience I had was what I was taught at school. When I first started they welcomed me in like I was family as the youngest at the time I was expecting to be dismissed but that was not the case at all from the carers to the directors everyone treated me with the same respect as they would any other member of staff.
After two years I finished my apprenticeship and reflecting on those two years I went from being 16 to 18 and I haven't just been taught how to be a good worker but also I have grown up with the people I have worked with and I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to teach me not just how to work but also how it is to be an adult.
After my two years of my apprenticeship I was excited to see where my next chapter within Mega Care will take me and as a young adult I wasn't too sure what field I wanted to be in. They offered me a different role away from admin and I started working in finance and I have no regret doing so Mega Resources has pushed me to do things I never thought I was capable of doing but they have guided me and helped me to get to where I'am today by offering endless opportunity's to myself and ill forever be grateful to the company for believing in me.
