Welcome to Mega Nursing & Care’s Assisted Living, a
dedicated
service offering self-contained accommodation, typically in
apartments or bungalows, designed for individuals over 55 who
may need extra support with daily tasks. Our facilities are
tailored to promote independence, while providing peace of
mind through on-site emergency alarm systems, communal
areas for socialising and 24-hour staff availability to ensure help
is always at hand when needed.
While both Extra Care and Care Homes offer
support to those
who need assistance, there are key differences in the level of
independence and type of care provided. Below is a quick
comparison to help you understand the benefits of Extra Care
for your loved one.
Residents live in their own self-contained apartments or bungalows with their own front door, kitchen, and living space.
Residents typically have a private bedroom but share communal living spaces and facilities.
Provides flexible, personalized care that can be increased or decreased as needs change. 24-hour on-site care is available, but not constant.
Offers round-the-clock care and supervision, typically for those with higher care needs.
Promotes independent living with support. Residents can cook their own meals, participate in activities, and come and go as they please.
Provides a more structured environment with set mealtimes and organized activities.
Allows couples with differing care needs to stay living together.
Often separates couples if one partner requires significantly more care.
Often includes communal facilities like cafes, lounges, and activity rooms, promoting acommunity atmosphere.
May have some communal areas but generally less extensive than extra care housing.
Our service offers personalised care tailored to your specific needs, whether for recovery periods, respite care, or transitional support, with the added benefit of same day turnaround for mobilisation.
